Here is the story on how we got our cat, Gracie. One normal day we all went to Costco to get some groceries. When we passed by the pet isle I said, “Look mom, cat food!” and dad said, “Wow look mom this would be good for a cat!” and then mom and dad told us kids to stay here and they went over to talk.
When they came back they had BIG news. My dad got out his phone and started videoing us and said, “Well we have not told the kids yet, but we are going to get a cat today.” I gasped and started jumping up and down and saying, “We are going to get a cat, we are going to get a cat!” We did not find the right cat that day, but about two days later we found her.
It took awhile to pick the right name, but we soon picked Gracie. She is an orange and white cat that is potty trained. Well that is all, except her getting situated which took awhile, but that is all. Bye!
The turtle hospital was a good but sad place. It was horrible to see all the sick and hurt sea turtles of our doing! Almost all the turtles where hurt from boats and trash.
There is one very bad thing that can happen to turtles. If a boat hits a turtle, air can get into the shell and makes them float; this is called bubble butt syndrome! When this happens they can’t dive for their food. It makes it easier for boats to hit them. This also makes it way easier for sharks to get at them because the turtle can’t swim away as quickly as it could have.
Now I will tell you why trash is bad. The loggerhead turtle will eat jellyfish. If there is a plastic bag floating upside down, can’t you see how that could look like a jellyfish? Now, guess who else thinks it’s a jellyfish…THE LOGGERHEAD!!!!! If that loggerhead swallows the plastic bag, it can get stuck in its throat and then the loggerhead can’t eat any more. This makes gas, but since the loggerhead has a plastic bag in its throat, the gas can’t get out, making the loggerhead sick. So PLEASE don’t liter. We already have enough trash in the ocean!
